The present situation we find ourselves in at the very beginning of the 21st century demands that we quickly re-engineer medicine, not only mainstream allopathic medicine but all the branches and alternatives. Consciousness is just forming around the conclusion that the majority of humans today are suffering from chronic poisoning. It is not just the fact that the tide of toxic chemicals is rising and accumulating in our cells and blood streams, wreaking physiological, emotional and mental havoc, but there is also a sheer drop in the quality and quantity of key nutrients being consumed. Iodine is a perfect example. In today’s world the last thing you want to be short on is iodine.

Iodine is detected in every organ and tissue in the body.
We might debate about the optimum dosage but we should find quick agreement that iodine is absolutely necessary for a healthy thyroid as well as healthy ovaries, breasts and prostate. Beside the greater risk for breast cancer in iodine deficient women, there is convincing evidence that iodine deficiency increases also the risk of thyroid cancer. These are just a few of the reasons to become interested in iodine. In an age of increasing toxic exposures we all need more not less iodine because it has very specific protective effects against several common poisons like fluoride, bromide, and to a lesser extent it helps eliminate lead and mercury from the body. Dr. Sebastiano Venturi, in Evolution of Dietary Antioxidants: Role of Iodine, makes it clear that iodine is a crucial antioxidant and apoptosis-inductor with anti-tumoral and anti-atherosclerotic activity. When we supplement with iodine we will see increased antioxidant activity [i] and immune system function [ii].

Iodine, Cancer and Fibrocystic Disease
Several studies have demonstrated a relationship between low iodine intake and fibrocystic disease of the breast (FDB), both in women and laboratory animals. [iii]Dr. David Derry said, “Lugol's solution is an iodine-in-water solution used by the medical profession for 200 years. One drop (6.5 mg per drop) of Lugol's daily in water, orange juice or milk will gradually eliminate the first phase of the cancer development, namely fibrocystic disease of the breast so no new cancers can start. It also will kill abnormal cells floating around in the body at remote sites from the original cancer. Of course this approach appears to work for prostate cancer as prostate cancer is similar to breast cancer in many respects. Indeed, it likely will help with most cancers. Also, higher doses of iodine are required for inflammatory breast cancer. As well we know that large doses of intravenous iodine are harmless, which makes one wonder what effect this would have on cancer growth.”
Because iodine deficiency results in increased iodine trapping by the thyroid, iodine deficient individuals of all ages are more susceptible to radiation-induced thyroid cancer. Iodine plays a crucial role in the body’s elimination system by inducing apoptosis, or what is called programmed cell death, and this is vital because this process is essential to growth and development and for destroying cells that represent a threat to the integrity of the organism, like cancer cells and cells infected with viruses. Women with goiters (a visible, non-cancerous enlargement of the thyroid gland) owing to iodine deficiency have been found to have a three times greater incidence of breast cancer. A high intake of iodine is associated with a low incidence breast cancer, and a low intake with a high incidence of breast cancer. _Dr. Donald Miller Jr.

"Iodine is a very important primary nutrient in regards to people’s health and healing. So essential is iodine for life that those who are deficient in it suffer from a wide variety of afflictions (including cancer) that are difficult to trace back to this trace mineral. Iodine used to be considered much more important, so much so that up until 20 years ago, it had been routinely added to bread as a supplement." Just how likely is an iodine deficiency in cancer? In an in-house study, 60 cancer patients (various types) were given the iodine-loading test and then measured for urinary excretion. All 60 patients were found to be seriously deficient in body stores of iodine and some had great excesses of bromine. The best case excreted only 50 percent of the load and the worst excreted only 20 percent (that means they were retaining a very high 80 percent). Folks, these are some serious numbers. One hundred percent of these cancer sufferers were deficient in iodine! I assure you the problem is population wide," writes Dr. Robert Rowen. 60 million mainland Japanese consume a daily average of 13.8 mg of elemental iodine, and they are one of the healthiest cancer statistics. [iv]Iodine is available in small amounts in some salts but health officials do not consider that most of the iodine evaporates while sitting on the kitchen table. In the United States 45 percent of American households buy salt without iodine and over the last three decades people who do use iodized table salt have decreased their consumption of it by 65 percent. Americans are consuming less iodine when in reality they need much more iodine. Antiseptic Iodine is by far the best antibiotic, antiviral and antiseptic of all time. _Dr. David Derry

The antiseptic properties of iodine are used to sterilize every surface and material in hospitals. Iodine is an excellent microbicide with a broad range of action that includes almost all of the important health-related microorganisms, such as enteric bacteria, enteric viruses, bacterial viruses, fungi and protozoan cysts.[v] The minimum number of iodine molecules required to destroy one bacterium varies with the species. For H. influenzae it was calculated to be 15000 molecules of iodine per cell. When bacteria are treated with iodine, the inorganic phosphate up-take and oxygen consumption by the cells immediately ceases. [vi]Though iodine kills all single celled organisms such as these it is not exploited for internal use by modern day physicians to combat internal infections, which of course is a great mistake. Dr. Derry says iodine is effective “for standard pathogens such as Staphylococcus, but also iodine has the broadest range of action, fewest side effects and no development of  bacterial resistance.” Some doctors have reported that it is excellent for the treatment of mononucleosis. Iodine is able to penetrate quickly through the cell walls of microorganisms. Iodine is a deadly enemy of single cell microorganisms and thus it can be our best friend. Iodine kills single celled organisms by combining with the amino acids tyrosine or histidine when they are exposed to the extra-cellular environment. All single cells showing tyrosine on their outer cell membranes are killed instantly by a simple chemical reaction with iodine that denatures proteins. In iodine we have an important mechanism to control pathogenic life forms and we should use it and trust it to protect us in ways that antibiotics can’t. As we shall see directly below, so powerful is iodine in a protective sense that it also helps us rid the body, not only of harmful chemicals and heavy metals, but also rids the body of abnormal cells meaning it qualifies as an anticancer agent. Elemental iodine is a potent germicide with a wide spectrum of activity and low toxicity to tissues. A solution containing 50 ppm iodine kills bacteria in 1 min. and spores in 15 min. It is poorly soluble in water but readily dissolves in ethanol, which enhances its antibacterial activity. Iodine tincture contains 2% iodine and 2.4% sodium iodide (NaI) dissolved in 50%ethanol; it is used as a skin disinfectant. Strong iodine tincture contains 7% iodine and 5% potassium iodide (KI) dissolved in 95% ethanol; it is more potent but also more irritating than tincture of iodine. Iodine solution contains 2% iodine and 2.4% NaI dissolved in aqueous solution; it is used as a nonirritant antiseptic on wounds and abrasions. Strong iodine solution (Lugol’s solution) contains 5% iodine and 10% KI in aqueous solution. Iodophores (eg, povidone-iodine) are water-soluble combinations of iodine with detergents, wetting agents that are solubilizers, and other carriers. They slowly release iodine as an antimicrobial agent and are widely used as skin disinfectants, particularly before surgery. "Medical iodophobia has reached pandemic proportions. It is highly contagious and has wreaked havoc on the practice of medicine and on the U.S. population." Dr. Guy Abraham According to current W.H.O. statistics more than 3 billion people in the world live in iodine deficient countries and it is known that deficiencies of selenium, vitamin A and iron may exacerbate the effects of iodine deficiency. In the analysis of ‘National Health and NutritionExamination Surveys’ data of moderate to severe iodine deficiency is present now in a significant proportion of the U.S. population, with a clear increasing trend over the past 20years, caused by reduced iodized table salt usage [Vii]. Along with magnesium and selenium,iodine is one of the most deficient minerals in our bodies. Iodine is essential for the synthesis of thyroid hormone, but selenium-dependent enzymes (iodothyronine deiodinases) are also required for the conversion of thyroxine (T4) to the biologically active thyroid hormone, triiodothyronine (T3). Selenium is the primary mineral responsible for T4 to T3 (thyroid hormones) conversion in the liver. (Selenium is absolutely essential in the age of mercury toxicity for it is the perfect antidote for mercury exposure. It is literally raining mercury all over the world but especially in the northern hemisphere. And of course with the dentists poisoning a world of patients with mercury dental amalgam and the doctors with their mercury laden vaccines, selenium is more important than most of us can imagine. One must remember that mercury strips the body of selenium for the selenium stores get used up quickly because of its great affinity for mercury.) Iodine is the agent which arouses (kindles) and keeps going the flame of life. With the aid of our thyroid, in which the iodine is manifesting, it can either damp this flame or kindle it to a dissolute fire. _Scholz 1990.

Symptoms of iodine deficiency include muscle cramps, cold hands and feet, proneness to weight gain, poor memory, constipation, depression and headaches, edema, myalgia, weakness, dry skin, and brittle nails. Sources include most sea foods, (ocean fish, but not fresh fish, shellfish, especially oysters), unrefined sea salt, kelp and other sea weeds, fish broth, butter, pineapple, artichokes, asparagus, dark green vegetables and eggs. Certain vegetables, such as cabbage and spinach, can block iodine absorption when eaten raw or unfermented and are called goitrogens. But eating fish won't give you iodine in mg amounts.To get 13.8 mg iodine, you would have to eat 10-20 pounds of fish per day. [viii]Iodine is needed in microgram amounts for the thyroid, mg amounts for breast and other tissues, and can be used therapeutically in gram amounts _[ix]Dr. David Miller
Inorganic non-radioactive iodine/iodide is an essential nutrient, not a drug. Therefore, the body has the metabolic mechanism for using inorganic iodine beneficially, effectively and safely. Iodine is as safe as magnesium chloride with a track record of 180 years of use in medicine. Published data confirms its safety even when used in pulmonary patients in amounts four orders of magnitude greater than the US RDA [x]. When patients take 12.5 to 50 mg of iodine per day, it seems that the body becomes increasingly more responsive to thyroid hormones [xi]. Optimal intake of iodine in amounts two orders of magnitude greater than iodine levels needed for goiter control may be required for iodization of hormone receptors [xii]. Iodine helps us utilize our proteins properly. In all likelihood an iodine deficient person will remain protein deficient. _Dr. Bryce Vickery
Iodine is the essential ingredient in thyroid hormone synthesis. So if deficient, protein synthesis will be disturbed. Thyroid hormones have two major physiological effects. They increase protein synthesis in virtually every body tissue and increase oxygen consumption dependent upon Na+ -K+ ATPase (Na pump). The thyroid gland needs iodine to synthesize thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), hormones that regulate metabolism and steer growth and development. Thyroid hormones are essential for life as they regulate key biochemical reactions, especially protein synthesis and enzymatic activities, in target organs such as the developing brain, muscle, heart, pituitary and kidney[xiii]; thus iodine is critically important to the developing fetus. Iodine transport damage can be corrected, in part, by administration of reasonably high doses of ascorbic acid or more natural Vitamin C. The thyroid hormones are synthesized in the follicular cells of the thyroid. The first step to hormone synthesis is the import of iodide into the follicular cells. Thyroid hormone regulates mitochondrial protein synthesis through the stimulation of synthesis of mitochondrial protein synthesis modulators, and then the tissue specific modulators (stimulatory in liver and inhibitory in kidney) can be produced by the hormone. [xiv] Whole body iodine sufficiency is a critical means to counter the side effects of thyroid hormone medications (Synthroid,etc.). Long-term use of these drugs is associated with depletion of thyroid and tissue iodine levels, as well as increased rates of cancer. All thyroid patients should be on iodine therapy.

Iodine is a powerful primary nutrient with broad medicinal effects and a hundred years ago it was used universally by most doctors. From 1900 to the 1960s almost every single U.S. physician used Lugol (iodine) supplements in his or her practice for both hypo and hyperthyroid, as well as many, many other conditions all with excellent results. In fact, iodine was considered a panacea for all human ills. The Nobel laureate Dr. Albert Szent Györgi (1893 - 1986), the physician who discovered vitamin C, writes: "When I was a medical student, iodine in the form of KI (potassium iodide) was the universal medicine. Nobody knew what it did, but it did something and did something good.” Today we know what iodine does and how much it can help people but modern allopathic medicine is asleep at the switch, letting people suffer and die for its lacking. Iodine is a gatekeeper of mammary gland integrity, breast, ovarian, and skin cysts. In addition to fixing almost all cases of breast cysts, iodine also has a remarkable healing effect on ovarian cysts,” says Dr. Robert Rowen. Though few know it, swollen ovaries is a condition analogous to goiter, when the thyroid swells in response to iodine deficiency. Goiters often also result in a hormonal imbalance leading to hypothyroidism. In the case of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) the starvation of the ovaries causes them to become cystic, swollen and eventually unable to regulate the synthesis of their hormones, leading to imbalances and infertility. Russian studies when investigating fibrocystic disease of the breast (FDB) also discovered that the greater the iodine deficiency the greater the number of cysts in the ovaries. Since 1928, the iodine concentration in the ovary has been known to be higher than in every other organ except the thyroid. Dr. Browstein has found in his research with high doses of iodine that cysts on the ovaries became smaller and began to disappear. He also found that libido in women and men increased. It takes 20 to 40 times the amount of Iodine needed to control breast cancer and fibrocystic disease to prevent goiter. In sufficient amounts iodine can not only adjust a dysfunctional thyroid, it can assist with a host of glandular imbalances as well as with a wide assortment of internal as well as external bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Iodine has many non-endocrine biologic effects, including the role it plays in the physiology of the inflammatory response. Iodides increase the movement of granulocytes into areas of inflammation and improves the phagocytosis of bacteria by granulocytes and the ability of granulocytes to kill bacteria [xv]. Dr. Robert Rowen informs that iodine reduces the activity of lipoprotein(a). When elevated, this protein can lead to excessive blood clotting and vascular disease. Iodine has been used successfully in headaches, keloid formation, parotid duct stones, and Dupuytren's and Peyronie’s contractures. Doses up to six times the RDA have been used safely for months to combat the excessive mucous in chronic lung diseases. He also states that Iodine is found in large amounts in the brain (including the parts of the brain associated with Parkinson’s disease) and the ciliary body of the eye, a possible factor in glaucoma." One 1860 French physician mistakenly gave a tincture of iodine when he meant to give digitalis to a woman with Grave’s Disease. She recovered within three weeks. When he discovered his mistake, he switched to digitalis, and her symptoms came back. He switched back to the iodine and achieved a remission," reported Dr. Rowen.The occurrence of iodine deficiency in cardiovascular disease is frequent. The effect of thyroid hormone deficiency on cardiovascular function can be characterized with decreased myocardial contractility and increased peripheral vascular resistance as well as with the changes in lipid metabolism. In a study done with 42 patients with cardiovascular disease, we redivided into 5 subgroups on the ground of the presence of hypertension, congestive heart failure, cardiomyopathy, coronary dysfunction and arrhythmia. When urine concentrations were tested, the most decreased urine iodine concentration was detected in the subgroups with arrhythmia and congestive heart failure. An elevated TSH level was found by 3 patients and elevation in lipid metabolism (cholesterol, triglyceride) associated with all subgroups without arrhythmia. The researchers concluded that iodine supplementation might prevent the worsening effect of iodine deficiency on cardiovascular disease. [xvi]Iodine made its leap into medical history when a Swiss physician, Dr Jean François Condet announced that iodine could reduce goiters (enlarged thyroids). At this moment, modern medical science was born because for the first time we have a specific disorder that is relieved by a specific treatment. It is most ironic to note that the very first step of allopathic medicine was into nutritional, not chemical medicine, with iodine being a common mineral from the sea. The required daily amount (RDA) of iodine is just enough to keep our thyroids from expanding, like the RDA of vitamin C today which is just enough to keep us free of scurvy, but not enough to prevent pre-scurvy syndromes or Cardiovascular Disease. “We placed an 83-year-old woman on ortho-iodo supplementation for six months at 50 mgs of elemental iodine daily. She experienced a tremendous increase in energy, endurance, well being, and memory. At six months all her skin peeled off and was replaced by new, younger-looking skin. She was flabbergasted and amazed at her new appearance. In our experience older women (especially over 65) noticed a major difference both physically and mentally,”wrote Dr. Guy Abraham, an endocrinologist who today is providing the backbone of the movement back toward the use of iodine as an essential safe and effective medicine.

Breast tissue has an affinity for iodine.
Iodine deficiency causes fibrocystic breast disease with nodules, cyst enlargement, pain and scar tissue. Drs. Abraham, Flechas and Brownstein tested more than 4,000 patients taking iodine in daily doses ranging from 12.5 to 50 mg, and in those with diabetes, up to 100 mg a day. These investigators found that “iodine does indeed reverse fibrocystic disease; their diabetic patients require less insulin; hypothyroid patients less thyroid medication; symptoms of fibromyalgia resolve, and patients with migraine headaches stop having them.” We can expect even better results when iodine is combined with magnesium chloride. Most physicians and surgeons view iodine from a narrow perspective and this is one of the greatest tragedies of allopathic medicine. Most health officials are chemical terrorists in disguise as they ignore the toxic buildup going on in the general population and they have no intention of informing them what they can do about it. Mercury is a perfect case in point. Mercury is toxic from whatever source it arrives into our bodies but doctors and dentists still insist on using it, which puts us solidly in the modern age of medical and dental barbarism. We like to think we are an advanced race of intelligent beings but lo and behold we find what are supposed to be the best and most intelligent of us poisoning young and old alike with mercury. It is beyond criminality what they are doing and what they are denying. On top of everything these same health officials do not even have an understanding of the basic medicines already in use, like iodine, magnesium chloride, and sodium bicarbonate, all emergency room substances that save peoples’ lives every day. To most doctors iodine is an antiseptic that disinfects drinking water and prevents surgical wound infections, and the thyroid gland needs it to make thyroid hormones and that’s it. But Dr. George Flechas relates that many of his diabetic patients need lowering of insulin dosage and diabetic drugs after repletion of iodine deficiency and others have observed the same thing. Something is dangling itself before our very eyes, a medical mystery that will enlighten us about our ignorance about how important minerals are for life. Both general and medical scientists can explain why diabetics and others benefit so greatly from heavy iodine supplementation, but will allopathic medical officials listen? Don’t count on it.

Iodine is utilized by every hormone receptor in the body.
The absence of iodine causes a hormonal dysfunction that can be seen with practically every hormone inside the body. _Dr. George Flechas This, in part, would already start to explain why Dr. Flechas sees such dramatic results with his diabetic patients. Why would many people who take iodine report that they have a greater sense of well-being, increased energy, and a lifting of brain fog? They feel warmer in cold environments, need somewhat less sleep, have improved skin complexion, and have more regular  bowel movements. The most obvious answer is that iodine is a trace mineral used to synthesize hormones and is a mineral that is very important to how hormones function at the hormone receptor sites.Thyroxin and Triiodo-thyronine stimulates and maintains normal heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature. [xvii] "Despite the general medical dependence upon special hormone tests, such as TSH, etc, temperature appears to be much more accurate for assessing thyroid function. During the past decade, I have noticed that 90% of individuals have a temperature BELOW normal. The oral temperature before getting out of bed in the morning should be 97.6 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. Mid-afternoon the temperature should be 98.6.Temperature is the simplest measure of basal metabolic rate, the key function of the thyroid gland," said Dr. Norman Shealy, who suggests iodine dosages of 1500 micrograms daily 4 to 6 weeks. If basal temperature comes to normal, lower iodine dosage to 600 mcg daily. Iodine's ability to revive hormonal sensitivity seems to significantly improve insulin sensitivity. Dr. Flechas said, “It was while treating a large 320-pound woman with insulin dependent diabetes that we learned a valuable lesson regarding the role of iodine in hormone receptor function. This woman had come in via the emergency room with a very high random blood sugar of 1,380 mg/dl. She was then started on insulin during her hospitalization and was instructed on the use of a home glucometer. She was to use her glucometer two times per day. Two weeks later on her return office visit for a checkup of her insulin dependent diabetes she was informed that during her hospital physical examination she was noted to have FBD. She was recommended to start on 50 mg of iodine (4 tablets) at that time. One week later she called us requesting to lower the level of insulin due to having problems with hypoglycemia. She was told to continue to drop her insulin levels as long as she was experiencing hypoglycemia and to monitor her blood sugars carefully with her glucometer. Four weeks later during an office visit her glucometer was downloaded to my office computer, which showed her to have an average random blood sugar of 98. I praised the patient for her diligent efforts to control her diet and her good work at keeping her sugars under control with the insulin. She then informed me that she had come off her insulin three weeks earlier and had not been taking any medications to lower her blood sugar. When asked what she felt the big change was, she felt that her diabetes was under better control due to the use of iodine.

”Increased metabolic rate increases the need for iodine. If a person is not getting enough iodine and is on thyroid meds they will become more deficient. Dr. Flechas [xviii] reported that two years later and 70 pounds lighter this above patient continues to have excellent glucose control on iodine 50 mg per day. “We since have done a study of twelve diabetics and in six cases we were able to wean all of these patients off of medications for their diabetes. The range of daily iodine intake was from 50 mg to 100 mg per day. All diabetic patients were able to lower the total amount of medications necessary to control their diabetes." A lack of iodine in the skin manifests as very dry skin and skin that does not sweat when an individual becomes hot. _ Dr. Jorge D. Flechas Everyone agrees that a lack of iodine in the diet causes a spectrum of disorders that includes, increasing in order of severity, goiter and hypothyroidism, mental retardation, and cretinism (severe mental retardation accompanied by physical deformities). Iodine deficient humans, like endemic cretins, suffer physical, neurological, mental, immune and reproductive diseases. Iodine is important in the proper function of the nervous system and Dr. S. Cunnane [xix] suggests that “iodine is the primary brain selective nutrient in human brain evolution.” Iodine deficiency is a major cause of under-functioning intellect [xx]. Dr. Flechas agrees, “In newborn children iodine is responsible for the development of the babies’ I.Q. Recent research shows iodine deficiency is felt to be the source of attention deficit disorder in children.” “We have an absolute epidemic of autism in this country,” said Representative DanBurton (R-Indiana). “Parents and doctors are struggling to find appropriate treatment options.” What help iodine can be to neurologically damaged children has not been explored yet but iodine and magnesium logically should be some of the first things parents should reach for. We certainly will find science to create a foundation for the use of iodine before, during and after pregnancy. Deficiency of iodine seems to cause more damage in developing embryos and in fact, in pregnant women iodine deficiency causes abortions and stillborns [xxi]. It is not cretinism alone that holds risks from deficiency, but the very survival of the infant itself. Adequate iodine may also provide protection from infection and vaccine damage. In a study done on 617 infants between the ages of 6 weeks and six months, in an iodine deficient area, it was shown that with the addition of 100 mg of iodine oil to the diet of newborns, that the death rate of infants was markedly lower than for those without any supplementation. [xxii]Magnesium and iodine deficiencies are the causes of autoimmune thyroiditis, not excess iodide.

Iodine deficiency poses significant additional reproductive risks, including overt hypothyroidism and infertility. Hypothyroidism causes anovulation, infertility, and gestational hypertension. [xxiii] Adequate tissue iodine helps guide estrogen into friendly pathways that support proper function of female sex hormones. Iodine contributes to the formation of testosterone. In women this supports healthy sex drive. In men, testosterone is vital to function. Iodine is my drug of choice. I use it for everything. I raise my kids and now my grandkids on iodine. My son was due to have his tonsils removed and I decided to paint his tonsils and he has never again had any more problems with his throat. I took a spray bottle and poured some iodine into the bottle and sprayed his tonsils. As you may know iodine dries quickly, so he didn't really swallow any. It worked within 24 hours after spraying the throat. According to Dr. John Myer, iodine has a marked effect on muscle contraction directly. It relieves cramps of the leg muscles known as ‘charley horses’. It also relieves pain in the pericardium, which he believes is similar contraction of the heart muscles, and it has a remarkable effect on muscle energy and contraction of all muscles of the body. Dr. Myer also asserts that iodine plays a decisive and critical role in the lymph system and in the lymph glands. Swollen sub maxillary glands known as ‘waxen kernels’ to our parents and grandparents, will soften and regress within minutes after allowing iodized lime to dissolve in the mouth.

Iodine is a very effective method for water purification. Its action is dependent on the concentration of iodine, the water temperature and duration of contact. For example, a concentration of 8 mgs per liter at 20 degrees centigrade will destroy all pathogens if left for 10 minutes. Lower concentrations and lower water temperatures require a longer duration of action. Iodine tablets were developed during World War II to disinfect small amounts of water for emergency or temporary use. A few drops of tincture of iodine or iodine tablets are popular with campers and the military for disinfecting water. An iodine residual of 0.5 to 1.0mg/l should be maintained and iodine at this level gives the water little or no iodide taste or odor. When one combines the intake of iodine with other minerals, (Iodine in combination with selenium increased the activities of type 1 deiodinase (D1) and glutathione peroxidase(GSHPx) [xxiv] one can expect strong and positive changes in cell physiology. Iodine with magnesium, with the help of natural chelation will resolve tough, stubborn problems that resist other treatments.

Increase iodine remedies slowly while monitoring your wellbeing. When using high-dose iodine you may monitor your thyroid function by checking your temperature before getting up in the morning. Measuring under the tongue is more reliable than in the armpit. Women before menopause measure in the first half of the cycle before ovulation and best in the first week after the start of a new period. The temperature should be 36.5ºC (97.6ºF) or higher,otherwise the thyroid is likely to be under-active. However, be sure that you do not have a raised temperature due to a healing reaction or an infection.Some symptoms of under-active thyroid functions include fatigue, underweight or overweight, constipation, fuzzy thinking, dry skin, low blood pressure, fluid retention,depression, and slow reflexes. When using high-dose iodine supplements for a longer period then also watch out for signs of over-active thyroid functions. These include anxiety,insomnia, rapid weight loss, diarrhea, high pulse rate, high blood pressure, sensitivity or  bulging eye and vision disturbances. A high iodine intake can sometimes normalize an over-active thyroid and these related symptoms, but if they develop or increase instead then avoid iodine remedies. Another problem is that iodine is a heart stimulant, and if you are using thyroid medication, or other stimulant drugs in addition, then that may be too much stimulation and heart palpitations may develop. In this case you need to reduce some of these stimulants sufficiently to rectify this problem. It's no secret that spotting your initial silver strand could be a stressful situation and news reports and articles or blog posts aren't making it much better. From perpetuating myths on fighting gray hair (Drink carrot juice!; Don't pluck the hair strands!) within the raging debate on whether or not to go faux or permit the silver strands go, graying hair is rife with anxiety, confusion and stress.

Well, stop stressing. Knowing the origins of one's graying hair can assist you to debunk irresponsible gray hair myths and take your anxiety down several notches and did we mention that stress only aggravates your graying hair?

Our bodies are always on the look-out for free radicals, also often known as pro-oxidants. When dangerous free radicals enter our bodies (a result of exposure from pollution, very poor dieting, lack of exercise and smoking), specialized enzymes, proteins and vitamins termed antioxidants seek out these damaging radicals and destroy them. Nonetheless, if the body is exposed to an overwhelming volume of free radicals, the antioxidants are unable to destroy all of the pro-oxidants; thus, oxidative stress occurs.

With this second part we will discuss a distinctive class of oxygen based free radicals referred to as Superoxides and see how they wreak havoc by means of the hydrogen peroxide pathway.

Super Oxides are free radicals that results from metabolic activity inside the body such as our response to stress. The body has evolved an elegant strategy of handling these Super Oxides; 1st the body unleashes a category of enzymes called Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) that helps to convert these Superoxides into h2o and hydrogen peroxide. Now in smaller concentrations hydrogen peroxide is easily broken down into hydrogen and h2o by yet another type of enzymes named Peroxidases. The key peroxidases employed by the body are the enzymes Glutathione Peroxidase and Catalase.

Studies have shown that Iodine in combination with selenium increased the activities of type 1 deiodinase (D1) and glutathione peroxidase(GSHPx). Wish I had known THAT when I was in my twenties and my hair was starting to turn grey!

As discussed in Part 1 Gray Hair Free Radicals free radicals in and of themselves can harm the hair follicle and results in graying. Unfortunately, in circumstances of prolonged stress, the amount of hydrogen peroxide being manufactured overwhelms the body's ability to break it down resulting in oxidative stress along with your gray hair. [Arck PC, Overall R, Spatz K et al (2006). Towards a free radical theory of graying: Melanocyte apoptosis in the aging human hair follicle is an indicator of oxidative stress induced tissue damage. FASED J 20: 1567-1569.] The hydrogen peroxide builds up all through the body, including within papillary cavities underneath the epidermis of the scalp. These cavities are the place hair follicles originate, and also where specialized cells - named melanocyte produces melanin for the hair strand.

The hair development cycle has three major stages, which are called the anagen stage (the growth stage), the telogen stage (where the follicle is at a period of rest) and the catagen stage (the transitional period between the former stages). The anagen stage may be decreased into 6 parts; however, melanocyte plays their most significant function in the third and fourth stages. During anagen stage III, melanocyte start to grow and accumulate in the papillary cavities; when the hair follicle starts to grow towards the epidermis, the melanocyte pigments the hair. Now whilst the hair grows in the anagen phase, the accumulated hydrogen peroxide sits in the papillary cavity where it bleaches the hair as it grow no different than if we bleached your hair yourself with a bottle of bleach. Over time it's also most likely the melanocyte cells will die off because the hydrogen peroxide interact with other crucial enzymes such as MSRA and MSRB and deactivate them preventing the hair follicles from repairing itself leading to other aspects of aging hair which includes thinning and weak/brittle hairs leading to wholesale greying.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land... all because of public pressure. If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S.) to receive the message. It is time to clean up the mess that our legislators have made in Washington.

Congressional Reform Act of 2011

1. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

At 46, he served as the first Secretary of State under George Washington.

At 55, he drafted the Kentucky Resolutions and became the active head of the Republican Party.

At 57, he was elected the third president of the United States .

At 60, he obtained the Louisiana Purchase, doubling the nation's size.

At 61, he was elected to a second term as President.

At 65, he retired to Monticello .

At 80, he helped President Monroe shape the Monroe Doctrine.

At 81, he almost single-handedly created the University of Virginia and served as its first president.

At 83, he died, on the 50th anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence, the same day as his lifelong friend, John Adams…100 miles apart. Adams last words were, “ Jefferson lives.”

Thomas Jefferson knew because he himself had studied the previously failed attempts at government. He understood actual history, the nature of God, God's laws, and the nature of man. That happens to be way more than what most understand today. His is a voice from the past to lead us into the future.

Ulsterman of News Flavor recently had another conversation with the anonymous “White House insider” whom Fellowship of the Minds calls DeepThroat2 (DT2). See Ulsterman’s previous interview with DT2 HERE.

According to DT2, Obama is battling severe depression and is on anti-depressant meds. Obama is also very angry and smoking more than a pack of ciggies a day — all signs of a man who’s very stressed but who remains in denial that he himself is the source of the problem.

This is consistent with the syndrome of pathological narcissism. When a narcissist finds the world no longer conforming to his grandiose view of himself, and other people have become critical instead of adoring, he typically falls into a severe depression. Most narcissists eventually come out of their depression cockier than ever, with a redoubled grandiosity instead of humility.

For a narcissist to really change requires that he shed his grandiose self-conception and look at himself honestly. In short, a narcissist must stop being a narcissist. But the very nature of pathological narcissism prevents narcissists from admitting they have a problem and to seek professional help. As psychiatrist M. Scott Peck explains, “To receive treatment one must want it, at least on some level. And to want it one must consider oneself to be in need of it. One must, at least on some level, acknowledge his or her imperfection.” But imperfection is something to which the narcissist, by the very nature of his disorder, will not and cannot admit. That is why psychiatrists say pathological narcissism is one of the most difficult-to-treat conditions in the lexicon of mental illness. [Read more about pathological narcissism HERE.]

Q: So you state that President Obama is depressed? How did you come by this information?

DT2: From a direct source still working within the White House on a daily basis. As I had stated previously, tensions at the White House have reached a critical stage. The infighting among staff is off the charts. More recently, the president has increasingly withdrawn emotionally from the day to day demands of his job – he has become what was described to me as “empty”.

Q: Do you mean to say the president is not doing his job?

DT2: Not exactly. He is there, he is getting briefed throughout the day, but President Obama appears to have emotionally shut down, not entirely mind you, but a great deal. It has worsened since I was last there. His natural detachment has become almost chronic to the point of being disconcerting to staff around him. It appears President Obama is suffering from severe depression.

Q: And why do you think this is happening?

DT2: Well for one, he was completely unprepared for the job of being President of the United States. The demands on one’s time, the emotional and physical toll, are considerable. Second, the failure of the administration to effectively communicate to the American people. You have to understand that Obama believed that his ability to orate would be enough – that is proving to have been a considerable mistake on Obama’s part, and he is not dealing particularly well with that reality.

Q: why…should your opinion on the condition of President Obama be viewed as legitimate?

DT2: I certainly understand a healthy dose of scepticism. I still wish to remain anonymous, and for those still supporting the president, I would understand how they would wish to dismiss any reports that diminish President Obama in any way. The fact remains though, I know what I know. And I know what I have been told by very reliable sources still at the White House. There are staff increasingly dissatisfied with this president. When that happens, word starts to get out.

I would also add what you well know. I have been quite accurate on my previous discussions with you. I indicated there would be a mass exodus of staff from the White House days and even weeks prior to those leaving became public. Larry, David, Rahm, and more have or are in the process of leaving. Your readers need only check the dates of when you published with the public announcements of those departures to confirm that fact. I have been very truthful. I indicated Pelosi was under intense pressure and challenge from within her own party. That has also proven to be accurate. What I have told you to date has been the very thing that has developed surrounding the White House – and what I am telling you now is also just as accurate.

In essence – can we count on Obama for 2012? We are conceding November 2010. We are about to get our asses kicked. Ok, so be it – let’s get our –expletive- together for 2012. The most critical component of that of course, is Barack Obama. Will he hold up? Can he prove as effective a candidate for 2012 as he was in 2008?Q: So just how bad is the president’s depression?

DT2: It is my understanding it is pretty bad.

Q: Is he being treated?

DT2: You will need to be more specific, do you mean by a doctor?

Q: What I mean specifically is medication. Is the president receiving medication for his depression? (Long pause)

DT2: I believe…yes, I believe he is. I believe he has been for some time actually. As to something more specific, I do not know. Nor do I care to say.

Q: Just to confirm then – it is your belief that President Obama is on anti-depression medication?

DT2: Yes – that is what I just told you.

Q: Smoking? The president is still smoking then?

DT2: Yeah – I thought that was pretty common knowledge. Yeah, the president is still smoking. The problem is, he’s apparently smoking a great deal, and for a man approaching his 50th year, having smoked for so long, that cannot be a good thing. I’ll put it this way – the smoking is considerable enough that it has become an issue.

Q: An issue? Who has the issue specifically?

DT2: I would assume his family. I know the White House – his staff. Certainly his doctors. They have noted the increase in his smoking over the last year. It has apparently alarmed some of them considerably.

Q: So what are we talking about here? More than a pack a day?

DT2: Oh yeah, more than that. The guy is under a lot of stress, that is no secret….

Q: So how would you describe the overall mood of the White House these days?

DT2: Troubled. Concerned. Uncertain. And angry. A lot of anger.

Q: And what about the mood of the president himself?

DT2: The same.

Q: You have been kind enough to leave our readers with a tidbit of information to further prove the validity of your claims. What can you leave us with this time regarding what is coming from the White House or the Democratic Party that has not yet been picked up by the mainstream media?

DT2: Just prior to the midterm elections, a significant figure within the party is going to break out and talk publicly to the media about much of what has and is going on both at the White House and Congress. We need to have a bit of a cleansing process as a party, and this individual is now willing to do just that. It may actually be more than one. From there we can start the process of rebuilding and recovery. It will be much the same as we did back in 1994. That playbook is still as legitimate today as it was then. Don’t count out the Democratic Party – we will be back, and back in a big way, and I still believe back in time for 2012.

This is interesting, in view of the fact that global quakes of magnitude 9.8 and above are forecast for the future, and such quakes would undoubtedly release massive quantities of undersea methane. The accompanying volcanoes would undoubtedly ignite the methane clouds. The entire Gulf of Mexico and Burmuda Triangle region sits on massive deposits of methane. A similar deposit the size of the state of California lies offshore in the Pacific, waiting to be released.

Interestingly enough, there have been hundreds of ship and aircraft disappearances in these regions that could be attributed to the loss of lift in air and water when methane is released in large quantities. Fortunately, there has not been a mega-release in our time, or ignition of the gas cloud.

"Our families will never mix with theirs. Our blood must be pure always, for it is the way. We will make them kill each other when it suits us. We will keep them separated from the oneness by dogma and religion. We will control all aspects of their lives and tell them what to think and how. When a light shall shine among them, we shall extinguish it by ridicule, or death, whichever suits us best. We will make them rip each other’s hearts apart and kill their own children. We will accomplish this by using hate as our ally, anger as our friend. The hate will blind them totally, and never shall they see that from their conflicts we emerge as their rulers. "We will always hide the divine truth from them, that we are all one. This they must never know! They must never know that color is an illusion, they must always think they are not equal. Drop by drop, drop by drop we will advance our goal. We will take over their land, resources and wealth to exercise total control over them. We will deceive them into accepting laws that will steal the little freedom they will have. We will establish a money system that will imprison them forever, keeping them and their children in debt.

"When they shall band together, we shall accuse them of crimes and present a different story to the world for we shall own all the media. We will use our media to control the flow of information and their sentiment in our favor. When they shall rise up against us we will crush them like insects, for they are less than that. They will be helpless to do anything for they will have no weapons.

"We will recruit some of their own to carry out our plans, we will promise them eternal life, but eternal life they will never have for they are not of us. The recruits will be called “initiates” and will be indoctrinated to believe false rites of passage to higher realms. Members of these groups will think they are one with us never knowing the truth. They must never learn this truth for they will turn against us. For their work they will be rewarded with earthly things and great titles, but never will they become immortal and join us, never will they receive the light and travel the stars. They will never reach the higher realms, for the killing of their own kind will prevent passage to the realm of enlightenment. This they will never know. The truth will be hidden in their face, so close they will not be able to focus on it until its too late. Oh yes, so grand the illusion of freedom will be, that they will never know they are our slaves.

At different times, I have owned two 1969 Camaro Z-28's (not at the same time). One was all original, purchased in 1971, and the other one, purchased in 1984, had a hot 350 with a Crane cam. These new Camaros leave the old technology in the dust, and look good doing it, too. They're more powerful, more fuel-efficient, and their handling is phenomenal. Even the base 3.6 liter V6 engine is a 300 h.p. screamer. For hopeless adrenaline junkies, there is the 7 liter-powered beast, and the possibility of adding a supercharger. Wicked, or as George Thorogood says, "bad to the bone".

Imagine one with an LS7 or LSX engine and a TVS-2300 supercharger.

ED GRIFFIN: Well, you spoke before about "ideological subversion" and that's a phrase that I'm afraid some Americans don't understand. When the Soviets use the phrase "ideological subversion" what do they mean by it?

1. YURI BEZMENOV: Ideological subversion is the process which is legitimate and open. You can see it with your own eyes.... It has nothing to do with espionage.

I know that intelligence gathering looks more romantic.... That's probably why your Hollywood producers are so crazy about James Bond types of films. But in reality the main emphasis of the KGB is NOT in the area of intelligence at all. According to my opinion, and the opinions of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15% of time, money, and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion, active measures, or psychological warfare. What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.

It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages. The first stage being "demoralization". It takes from 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy exposed to the ideology of [their] enemy. In other words, Marxism-Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least 3 generation of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism; American patriotism.

The result? The result you can see -- most of the people who graduated in the 60's, dropouts or half-baked intellectuals, are now occupying the positions of power in the government, civil service, business, mass media, and educational systems. You are stuck with them. You can't get through to them. They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern [alluding to Pavlov]. You can not change their mind even if you expose them to authentic information. Even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you still can not change the basic perception and the logic of behavior.

In other words [for] these people the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible. To rid society of these people you need another 15 or 20 years to educate a new generation of patriotically minded and common sense people who would be acting in favor and in the interests of United States society.

ED: And yet these people who have been programmed and as you say [are] in place and who are favorable to an opening with the Soviet concept - these are the very people who would be marked for extermination in this country?

YURI: Most of them, yes. Simply because the psychological shock when they will see in [the] future what the beautiful society of EQUALITY and social justice means in practice, obviously they will revolt. They will be very unhappy [and] frustrated people, and Marxist-Leninist regime does not tolerate these people. Obviously they will join the [ranks] of dissenters; dissidents. Unlike the present United States there will be no place for dissent in future Marxist-Leninist America. [Now] you can get popular like Daniel Elsburg and filthy rich like Jane Fonda for being a dissident [and] for criticizing your Pentagon. In [the] future these people will simply be [he makes a squishy noise] squashed like cockroaches for criticizing the government. Nobody is going to pay them nothing for their beautiful [and] noble ideas of EQUALITY. This they don't understand and it will be the greatest shock for them, of course.

The demoralization process in the United States is basically completed already for the last 25 years. Actually, it's over fulfilled because demoralization now reaches such areas where not even Comrade Andropov and all his experts would even dream of such tremendous success. Most of it is done by Americans to Americans thanks to lack of moral standards. As I mentioned before, exposure to true information does not matter anymore. A person who was demoralized is unable to assess true information. The facts tell nothing to him, even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents and pictures. ...he will refuse to believe it.... That's the tragedy of the situation of demoralization.

2. The next stage is destabilization.... It only takes 2 to 5 years to destabilize a nation. This time what matters is essentials; economy, foreign relations, [and] defense systems. And you can see it quite clearly that in some... sensitive areas such as defense and [the] economy, the influence of Marxist-Leninist ideas in the United States is absolutely fantastic. I could never believe it 14 years ago when I landed in this part of the world that the process will go that fast.

Most of the American politicians, media, and educational system train another generation of people who think they are living at the peacetime. False. United States is in a state of war; undeclared, total war against the basic principles and foundations of this system. And the initiator of this war is not Comrade Andropov of course - it's the system. However, ridiculous it may sound, [it is] the world Communist system, or the world Communist conspiracy. Whether I scare some people or not, I don't give a hoot. If you're not scared by now, nothing can scare you.

ED: Okay, so what do we do? What is your recommendation to the American people?

YURI: Well, the immediate thing that comes to mind is, of course, there must be a very strong national effort to educate people in the spirit of REAL patriotism, number one. Number two, to explain [to] them the real danger of socialist, communist, welfare state, Big Brother government.... The moment at least part of [the] United States population is convinced that the danger is real, they have to FORCE their government, and I'm not talking about sending letters, signing petitions, and all this beautiful, noble activity, I'm talking about FORCING [the] United States government to stop aiding Communism.... and it is very easy to do; no credits, no technology, no money, no political or diplomatic recognition...

Rep. Paul Kanjorski, a 12-term congressman, said that shortly before Congress was scheduled to vote on authorizing military force against Iraq, top officials of the CIA showed select members of Congress three photographs it alleged were Iraqi Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), better known as drones. Kanjorski said he was told that the drones were capable of carrying nuclear, biological, or chemical agents, and could strike 1,000 miles inland of east coast or west coast cities,” Walter Brasch writes for Counterpunch. “Kanjorski said he and four or five other congressmen in the room were told UAVs could be on freighters headed to the U.S. Both secretary of state Condoleezza Rice and President Bush wandered into and out of the briefing room, Kanjorski said.”

Of course, this was nothing short of a brazen lie—but apparently a lie at least a few Congress critters bought hook, line, and sinker, not really surprising as discernment—to say nothing of higher mental ability—seems to be in short supply in the District of Criminals. It really is quite remarkable how easily Congress was bamboozled by Neocon lies and threadbare fabrications. As the mass murder campaign against Iran gears up, only time will tell if Congress will be swindled once again—that is if the Neocons even bother with Congress this time around.

Kanjorski said it was the second time he was called to the White House for a briefing. He had opposed giving the President the powers to go to war, and said that he hadn’t changed his mind after a first meeting. Until he saw the pictures, Kanjorski said, “I hadn’t thought that Iraq was a threat.” That second meeting changed everything. After he left that meeting, said Kanjorski, he was willing to give the President the authorization he wanted since the drones “represented an imminent danger.”

Kanjorski said he went to see Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.), a retired Marine colonel. Murtha, said Kanjorski, “turned white” when told about the drones; Murtha, a former intelligence officer, believed that such information was classified.

Several years later, Kanjorski said he learned that the pictures were “a g*d-d@**ed lie,” apparently taken by CIA photographers in the desert in the southwest of the U.S. The drone story itself had already been disproved, although not many major media carried that story.

Recall Bush claiming Saddam Hussein had at his disposal “a growing fleet of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles” he said “could be used to disperse chemical or biological weapons across broad areas” and according to Bush’s Neocon script the Iraqis were “exploring ways of using these UAVs for missions targeting the United States,” nothing short of a remarkable feat as Iraq was suffering under a draconian sanctions regime at the time. Recall, as well, around about the time Bush made his preposterous claim—or rather a preposterous claim proffered by neocon “minds” ensconced in traitorous AEI and PNAC “think tanks”—the above photo appeared in the corporate media.

How many Americans believed the pathetic model pictured above—on par with a fifth grader’s science fair project—was indeed a sophisticated drone capable of reaching the United States by way of a ship departing from a country under embargo at the time remains to be calculated. Suffice it to say there is no shortage of chumps and easy marks in the United States, at least a few of them Congress critters.

Get ready for a re-run, for as con-man Joseph “Paper Collar Joe” Bessimer famously stated, there is “a sucker born every minute… and two to take ‘em.”

Romans 13 and the Razor's Edge

Recently, it has come to my attention that all over America, 26,000 pastors are being trained to tell their people to submit to martial law when (not if) it comes, using Romans 13 as the "justification". This is the same tactic that was used by Adolf Hitler. For the following reasons, I believe this is wrong from the perspective of God's Law.

The end goal is to wipe out all "fundamental" religions, and rebuild "Babylon", a one-world religious system with the "elite" as "lords of the planet" forever. To achieve this, they must destroy the middle class through taxation and the restriction of access to energy. Those who have understanding can see the similarities between Hitler's Third Reich and the NWO "Fourth Reich". Comparisons between Bush and Hitler are close to the mark, and this is why the Neocons' talking heads freak out when comparisons are made.

Romans 13 is mis-used to persuade Christians that they must submit to all authority, regardless of its conformity to God's law.

Quoting Romans 13:

"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor."

I read Romans 13 and it is talking about God's laws, not man's laws.

In recent years, Christians have interpreted Romans 13 as a command by God for unlimited submission to the governments of men. Many proponents of this belief have sat passively by, in the soft pews of their place of worship, while evil has triumphed in most areas of family and church life. In our pacifistic smugness, many have allowed government to become god without even knowing.

Yet, when confronted with the true meaning of Romans 13, absurd accusations are shouted in religious rhetoric toward those who would dare to break an unjust law or even to question the almighty government. The opponents of unlimited submission to government are deemed as rebellious, anarchist and disobedient. However, there is no practical, historical or biblical consistency in the shallow arguments of these simpletons.

A good case study in the heavy-handed tyrannical tactics and media mind-control methods used by the NWO and the mindless droids who serve them is found in

First, unlimited submission to government is not practical. For a philosophy to be a valid philosophy, it must be consistent. As a result, it does not make practical sense to blindly obey a tyrant like Adolph Hitler or deem a law such as abortion-on-demand a legitimate law just because one's government says it is public policy. (In other words, if the government "legalizes" the slaughter of unborn children, God's law still applies, and the Christian is not free to engage in infanticide). However, if Romans 13 teaches unlimited submission to government, then we must obey and acknowledge all laws, good and bad, as the will of God. If all governments are of God, then all laws are of God. This is not practical from any point of view.
Second, it is not historical. Our founding fathers recognized and understood tyranny and despotism. They perceived the ultimate end of the king's actions. Thus, they besought George III to relent in his persecutions and implored him to uphold his covenant agreement.

In July of 1774, our forefathers met in Fairfax County, Va., and considered ways of forcing Great Britain to redress American grievances. George Washington and George Mason were the instrumental agents in drafting what has come to be known as the "Fairfax Resolves."

Ponder for a moment Resolves five and six:

"Resolved that the claim lately assumed and exercised by the British Parliament, of making all such Laws as they think fit, to govern the people of these colonies, contrary to the first Principles of the Constitution, and the original Compacts by which we are dependent upon the British Crown and Government; but is totally incompatible with the privileges of a free people, and the natural Rights of Mankind; will render our own Legislatures merely nominal and nugatory, and is calculated to reduce us from a state of freedom and happiness to slavery and misery."

"Resolved that Taxation and Representation are in their nature inseparable; that the right of withholding, or of giving and granting their own money is the only effectual security to a free people, against the encroachments of Despotism and Tyranny; and that whenever they yield to one they fall prey to the other."

All of the Resolves are loaded with bullets that explode against a tyrannical and despotic government. The "shot that was heard around the world on Lexington green was loaded in the "Fairfax Resolves." How can one make that statement? After pleading with George III to uphold his covenant agreement and after seeking for a redress of grievances, the "coup de grace" is plainly stated in the 23rd Resolve:

"Resolved that it be recommended to the Deputies of the general Congress to draw up and transmit an humble and dutiful petition and remonstrance to his Majesty, asserting with decent firmness our just and constitutional Rights and Privileges, lamenting the fatal necessity of being compelled to enter into measures disgusting to his Majesty and his Parliament, or injurious to our fellow subjects in Great Britain; declaring the strongest terms of duty and affection to his Majesty's person, family and government, and our desire to continue our dependence upon Great Britain; and must humbly beseeching his Majesty, not to reduce his faithful subjects of America to a state of desperation, and to reflect, that from our Sovereign there can be but one appeal."

In simple terms, the Resolves offered George III two obvious choices. One was to fulfill his covenant obligations and be the king and ruler to the American Colonies that he had agreed to be or, second, to prepare for war. George III was asked to reflect upon the fact, that if he did not keep his end of the covenant, there could "be but one appeal."

Last --and most important -- it is not biblical. Daniel disobeyed Darius and went to the lions den. The three Hebrew children broke the law for not bowing. The parents hid baby Moses from Pharaoh. Rahab lied to protect the Hebrew spies. The Apostles went to prison for preaching Christ in the authority of Heaven. Paul and his followers in Acts 17 did contrary to all the decrees of Caesar in order to make Jesus the King. Even Jesus lived in direct opposition of the political religious leaders of his day and went to the cross for us.

Romans 13 is a treatise by Paul and the Apostles on the institution of model government. As we rightly divide the word of truth and take this passage in its total context, we will discover seven truths:

1. Good government is ordained by God.
2. Government officials are to be good ministers who represent God.
3. We the people must obey good and godly laws.
4. As we relate Romans 13 to America, our Constitution is the higher power -- not the IRS tax code.
5. Good government is not to be feared.
6. In America, we are to pay honor and custom and constitutional taxes to whom it is due.
7. Government is to protect the righteous and punish the wicked.

Do our Christian friends who use Romans 13 to teach that we should not oppose President Bush or any other political leader really believe that civil magistrates have unlimited authority to do anything they want without opposition? I doubt whether they truly believe that.

For example, what if our President decided to resurrect the old monarchal custom of Jus Primae Noctis (Law of First Night)? That was the old medieval custom when the king claimed the right to sleep with a subject's bride on the first night of their marriage. Would our sincere Christian brethren sheepishly say, "Romans Chapter 13 says we must submit to the government"? I think not. And would any of us respect any man who would submit to such a law?

So, there are limits to authority. A father has authority in his home, but does this give him power to abuse his wife and children? Of course not. An employer has authority on the job, but does this give him power to control the private lives of his employees? No. A pastor has overseer authority in the church, but does this give him power to tell employers in his church how to run their businesses? Of course not. All human authority is limited in nature. No man has unlimited authority over the lives of other men. (Lordship and Sovereignty is the exclusive domain of Jesus Christ.)

By the same token, a civil magistrate has authority in civil matters, but his authority is limited and defined. Observe that Romans Chapter 13 clearly limits the authority of civil government by strictly defining its purpose: "For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil . . . For he is the minister of God to thee for good . . . for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil."

Notice that civil government must not be a "terror to good works." It has no power or authority to terrorize good works or good people. God never gave it that authority. And any government that oversteps that divine boundary has no divine authority or protection.

Civil government is a "minister of God to thee for good." It is a not a minister of God for evil. Civil magistrates have a divine duty to "execute wrath upon him that doeth evil." They have no authority to execute wrath upon him that doeth good. None. Zilch. Zero. And anyone who says they do is lying. So, even in the midst of telling Christians to submit to civil authority, Romans Chapter 13 limits the power and reach of civil authority.As a result, we have a practical, historical and biblical mandate to fervently disobey any unconstitutional laws and all government officials who cease to be good ministers of Jesus Christ. God almighty is the only power that deserves unlimited obedience.

Did Moses violate God's principle of submission to authority when he killed the Egyptian taskmaster in defense of his fellow Hebrew? Did Elijah violate God's principle of submission to authority when he openly challenged Ahab and Jezebel? Did David violate God's principle of submission to authority when he refused to surrender to Saul's troops? Did Daniel violate God's principle of submission to authority when he disobeyed the king's law to not pray audibly to God? Did the three Hebrew children violate God's principle of submission to authority when they refused to bow to the image of the state? Did John the Baptist violate God's principle of submission to authority when he publicly scolded King Herod for his infidelity? Did Simon Peter and the other Apostles violate God's principle of submission to authority when they refused to stop preaching on the streets of Jerusalem? Did Paul violate God's principle of submission to authority when he refused to obey those authorities who demanded that he abandon his missionary work? In fact, Paul spent almost as much time in jail as he did out of jail.

Remember that every apostle of Christ (except John) was killed by hostile civil authorities opposed to their endeavors. Christians throughout church history were imprisoned, tortured, or killed by civil authorities of all stripes for refusing to submit to their various laws and prohibitions. Did all of these Christian martyrs violate God's principle of submission to authority?

So, even the great prophets, apostles, and writers of the Bible (including the writer of Romans Chapter 13) understood that human authority – even civil authority – is limited.

Plus, Paul makes it clear that our submission to civil authority must be predicated on more than fear of governmental retaliation. Notice, he said, "Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake." Meaning, our obedience to civil authority is more than just "because they said so." It is also a matter of conscience. This means we must think and reason for ourselves regarding the justness and rightness of our government's laws. Obedience is not automatic or robotic. It is a result of both rational deliberation and moral approbation.

Therefore, there are times when civil authority may need to be resisted. Either governmental abuse of power or the violation of conscience (or both) could precipitate civil disobedience. Of course, how and when we decide to resist civil authority is an entirely separate issue. And I will reserve that discussion for another time.

Beyond that, we in the United States of America do not live under a monarchy. We have no king. There is no single governing official in this country. America's "supreme Law" does not rest with any man or any group of men. America's "supreme Law" does not rest with the President, the Congress, or even the Supreme Court. In America, the U.S. Constitution is the "supreme Law of the Land." Under our laws, every governing official publicly promises to submit to the Constitution of the United States. Do readers understand the significance of this distinction? I hope so.

This means that in America the "higher powers" are not the men who occupy elected office, they are the tenets and principles set forth in the U.S. Constitution. Under our laws and form of government, it is the duty of every citizen, including our elected officials, to obey the U.S. Constitution. Therefore, this is how Romans Chapter 13 reads to Americans:

"Let every soul be subject unto the [U.S. Constitution.] For there is no [Constitution] but of God: the [Constitution] that be [is] ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the [Constitution], resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For [the Constitution is] not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the [Constitution]? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For [the Constitution] is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for [the Constitution] beareth not the sword in vain: for [the Constitution] is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For this cause pay ye tribute also: for [the Constitution is] God's minister, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor."

Dear Christian friend, the above is exactly the proper understanding of our responsibility to civil authority in these United States, as per the teaching of Romans Chapter 13.

Furthermore, Christians, above all people, should desire that their elected representatives submit to the Constitution, because it is constitutional government that has done more to protect Christian liberty than any governing document ever devised by man. As I have noted before in this column, Biblical principles form the foundation of all three of America's founding documents: The Declaration of Independence, The U.S. Constitution, and The Bill of Rights.

As a result, Christians in America (for the most part) have not had to face the painful decision to "obey God rather than men" and defy their civil authorities.

The problem in America today is that we have allowed our political leaders to violate their oaths of office and to ignore, and blatantly disobey, the "supreme Law of the Land," the U.S. Constitution. Therefore, if we truly believe Romans Chapter 13, we will insist and demand that our civil magistrates submit to the U.S. Constitution.

Now, how many of us Christians are going to truly obey Romans Chapter 13?

CIA Invents Hezbollah Threat

As it turns out, the “threat” of terrorist attacks against the United States by Hezbollah, included in the latest National Intelligence Estimate, was casually thrown in, apparently to add some color.

“Speaking under condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly, several intelligence officers asserted that the report was sloppy and lacked supporting evidence,” reports Larisa Alexandrovna for Raw Story. “The NIE seems... fiddled [with],” regarding Hezbollah, one high-ranking CIA official told Alexandrovna. “Whether it is or isn’t is not really the point. The point is that nobody is ready to believe it.” Nobody, that is, except a gullible American public, barraged 24-7 with idiotic tales of terrorists gone wild, ready to invade the homeland and convert Americans at gunpoint to Islamofascism. “As regards to the Hezbollah ‘threat,’” the official added, “they just threw that in. Nobody in CIA talks to Hezbollah, and they’re living off their assessments from back in the 80s, which they really never got right anyway.”

The CIA never got it right, preferring instead to regurgitate Israeli “assessments” formulated after the invasion of Lebanon. Fact is, Hezbollah was organized as a response to Israel’s invasion in 1982. Even the CFR admits as much. “Hezbollah was founded in 1982 in response to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, and subsumed members of the 1980s coalition of groups known as Islamic Jihad. It has close links to Iran and Syria,” same as the United States has “close links” with Israel, although the CFR does not bother to make such comparisons.

“Released last week, the NIE is a consensus view from all sixteen intelligence agencies and departments, compiled by the National Intelligence Council and signed off on by the agencies involved as well as by the Director for National Intelligence,” Alexandrovna continues. “The document represents the ‘official’ intelligence community view on any issue related to national security.” In other words, the NIE consists of made-up threats and should be considered a work of fiction, not an “estimate” of reality. “Intelligence officials would not confirm whether the classified version contained dissenting views. However, several expressed concern that parts of the report may have been politicized,” that is to say it is, at least in part, a Brothers Grimm fairy tale, designed to scare witless Americans. Director of National Intelligence Vanee Vines told Alexandrovna “the key judgments of the NIE speak for themselves,” sort of the same way Dr. Seuss’ poetic meters speak to children.

“The main analysis of the report focuses on the rise and resurgence of Al Qaeda in Pakistan. Most sources interviewed for this article agreed with the general assertion provided in the analysis—that Pakistan is harboring al Qaeda and has a record of support for terrorism.” Of course, there is scant evidence “al-Qaeda,” itself a creation of the CIA and Pakistan’s ISI, is on the rise in Pakistan, although it is certainly true the intelligence service of Pakistan “has a record of support for terrorism,” most notably in Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmiri militants are trained and supported the same way the “Afghan Arabs” were trained and supported, with the guiding hand—and a large infusion of U.S. taxpayer cash—of the CIA. Point is, the tribal area of South Waziristan is not directly under the control of Pakistan, as it was not fully under the control of the British Raj. It remains a wild card in need of domestication. Neolib loan sharks demand as much.

Edward Gistaro, key drafter of the NIE and the national intelligence expert for transnational threats at the National Intelligence Council, provided an excuse for the addition of Hezbollah to the NIE. The Hezbollah threat emerges “partly out of what we saw last summer in Lebanon where Hezbollah publicly said that they saw a U.S. hand in the conflict there,” a big time no-brainer, as the United States has provided Israel with an astounding $1.6 trillion in handouts since 1973. “Israel is the largest recipient of US foreign aid. It is already due to get $2.04 billion in military assistance and $720 million in economic aid in fiscal 2003. It has been getting $3 billion a year for years,” reports the Christian Science Monitor. “Many Americans would probably say it is money well spent to support a beleaguered democracy of some strategic interest,” never mind this “democracy” is restricted to people of Jewish ancestry and non-Jews in Palestine are not only victims of a pernicious form of apartheid but victims of frequent mass murder campaigns conducted with expensive high-tech tools provided by unobservant Americans. For the racist Israeli government, controlled by fanatical Jabotinskyite Likudniks, no doubt this is “money well spent,” or rather the money of other people well spent.

It is precisely these Israelis, in collaboration with American neocons—who are often more fanatical when it comes to slaughtering Muslims and Arabs than the Jabotinskyites—who are pushing the fantastical Hezbollah threat. “As bombing and missile attacks continue between Israel and Hezbollah, Israeli officials have warned their diplomats around the world about the threat of Hezbollah sleeper cells,” ABC News reported last July. “There is no credible intelligence pointing to an imminent Hezbollah attack on the United States, but sources say to ABC News that the group is capable of striking here,” same as properly motivated Greenlanders are “capable of striking here.”
As we know, U.S. foreign policy is currently in the clutches of a coven of criminally insane neocons, determined to launch “World War IV,” the war against Israel’s enemies. As should be expected, the kissing cousins of the neocons, the venal Wall Street neolibs, are on board with this noxious plan, as the “war on terror” is as much about squashing all resistance to loan sharking schemes and fire sales as it is the serial murder of all who would oppose Israeli hegemony.
