Al-Qaeda and the Dubious Confederacy of Evil: A Figment Of The Fear- And War-Mongering Propagandists' Imagination

"The three grand imperatives of imperial geostrategy are to prevent collusion and maintain security dependence among the vassals, to keep tributaries pliant and protected, and to keep the barbarians from coming together." (Zbigniew Brzezinski, The Grand Chessboard p.40)

Brzezinski wants the whole map, not just the short gain cash cows, and won't advocate taking Iran alone at the cost of sacrificing EU-courted Ukraine and Caucasus/ Central Asian prizes, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Armenia, which he assesses as all potentially vulnerable if Russia stays weak [The Grand Chessboard].
He has stated, in justification for his tactical, financial and organizational founding of the Taliban during the late 70s as a means of sufficiently weakening the Soviet Union:

"Which is more important in world history: The Taliban or the fall of the Soviet Empire? A few over-excited Islamists or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the Cold War?”

The modern-day Machiavelli puts his "grand" scheming above the limitations of legitimate threat response, provocateured threat response and even Steinberg's pseudo-justified "latent" threats-- he's goes right for the spoils themselves as justification.

"War actually justified-- publicly-- as war for the sake of world domination and primacy of the American way. A visionary-- past the vain pretense of cause. A man who wants true results. Advanced Hegelian thinking, skipping the gaming steps of problem and reaction-- Zbigniew Brzezinski has a solution."

Zbigniew Brzezinski with Osama bin Laden, 1979

Yesterday the Australian Prime Minister John Howard and his band of fearmongering lunatics warned Australians gathering at Gallipoli for ANZAC Day to be aware of a ‘terrorist threat’. In the UK Guardian today it is reported that the ‘head of Scotland Yard's counterterrorism command said yesterday that al-Qaida had survived the six-year long "war on terror" launched by President George Bush and Tony Blair, and its central leadership had retained the ability to order devastating attacks on Britain.’ As well as Gallipoli that is. And in Iraq, where it seems the Iraqi franchise of ‘al Qaeda’ has claimed responsibility for the deaths yesterday of nine US troops.

So good is the ‘al Qaeda’ franchise business that even the Israelis have tried to set up an ‘al Qaeda’ shop in Palestine. Unfortunately the locals soon discovered that the business wasn’t genuine (apparently Mossad hadn’t paid bin Laden the franchise fee) so the business was quickly shut down.

Of course al Qaeda exists, or at least existed, (indeed, it was set up with the assistance of the CIA as part of their covert war against the Soviets in Afghanistan before the Taliban took over there) but it doesn’t exist in the way that the western neocon-dominated press would have us believe. Despite the continued references to ‘al Qaeda’ every day as we are told that they are responsible for every conceivable atrocity that occurs on our planet, there has not been any evidence whatsoever that ‘al Qaeda’ per se has ever been responsible for anything beyond the borders of Afghanistan and the remoter parts of Pakistan.

The western propagandists have presented to the world a picture of an ‘al Qaeda’ as being a massive and extremely well disciplined international organization that has branches everywhere. Yet nowhere is there any prima facie evidence to suggest that they even exist, let alone in such an organized and disciplined way. As the piece in today’s UK Guardian demonstrates, we are expected to simply believe what we are told with the total lack of evidence being conveniently explained away as; ‘for security reasons we can’t divulge the source’.

In Iraq the US and their allies are currently busy trying to wedge the Sunni and Shi’ite factions by blaming ‘al Qaeda’ for the friction between the two groupings. This is nothing new; they’ve tried it before, but now they are putting more effort into their blame game because they see it as away of polarizing the rest of Islam in the Middle East and beyond thus diverting attention away from the Israelis and their efforts to subdue Palestine, Hamas and Hizbollah but, at the same time, demonizing further an Iran that has a predominately Shiite population (as against the rest of the Islamic world which is around 80% Sunni).

The problem for the US, Israel, and their western allies, is that all this propaganda is for consumption in the west only. The Middle Eastern peoples, Sunni or Shia, are very much aware that their relationships with each other are quite secure and have been for decades. For them the myth of ‘al Qaeda’ remains just that – a myth, and that the struggles that exist between various Sunni and Shiite groups in Iraq are mainly a combination of political and criminal secular differences in a post-Saddam lawless era and that such violence, as bloody as it often is, is contained within Iraq and has nothing to do with the battles that Islamic peoples and Arabs generally are fighting against Israeli right-wing Zionism in Palestine and US hegemonic colonialism in the Middle East and Central Asia.
‘Al Qaeda’ remains, as it has since the US decided that they were to blame for the events of 9/11, a myth that exists solely to perpetuate fear and the illusion that there is always an enemy to justify the continued ‘Global War on Terrorism’.

Ah, yes... the "Global War on Terror".

It is simply astounding how many videos and audio tapes and letters slip through al-Qaeda’s fingers and into the hands of the Pentagon, the State Department, and various Bushites and intelligence factotums. Recall the Osama dinner party video found in Afghanistan and the “al-Qaeda in Iraq” chemical weapons plant left behind in Fallujah. Now we have a letter purportedly from Ayman al-Zawahri to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, “acquired during U.S. operations in Iraq,” according to the Associated Press. How this supposed letter was “acquired” is not revealed. Maybe Ayman didn’t affix the correct postage. Or maybe Abu didn’t leave a change of address.

“This isn’t a question of hearts and minds,” State Department spokesman Adam Ereli assuredly declared. “It’s a question of bodies and gore. This is a network, a confederacy of evil that will stop at nothing to advance its radical agenda.” Ereli “said that [the agenda allegedly revealed in the letter] has as its objective is an Islamic empire, starting in Iraq and expanding to Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria, practicing the abuses and intolerance that the Taliban demonstrated in Afghanistan.”

Ah, the Taliban.

“The Taliban are widely alleged to be the creation of Pakistan’s military intelligence [the ISI], which, according to experts, explains the Taliban’s swift military successes,” CNN reported in 1996, leaving out the fact the CIA and the ISI collaborated on various projects, including the Osama bin Laden project. “Despite their clean chins and pressed uniforms, the ISI men are as deeply fundamentalist as any bearded fanatic; the ISI created the Taliban as their own instrument and still support it,” the Asia Times revealed in 2001, soon after nine eleven. Selig Harrison from the Woodrow Wilson International Centre for Scholars told the Times of India on March 7, 2001, “I warned [the CIA] that we were creating a monster…. The CIA made a historic mistake in encouraging Islamic groups from all over the world to come to Afghanistan,” a “mistake” they shelled out around $3 billion to make and later declared to be their most successful operation on the books.

Mistake or not, the fact the Taliban were fanatical Muslims (who killed people for watching television or teaching girls) did not seem to bother the oil mega-corporation Unocal, as they wined and dine the wild-eyed Taliban in order to secure a pipeline deal (Unocal even flew Taliban representatives to their headquarters in Sugarland, Texas, incidentally the stomping grounds of accused criminal and former bug exterminator Tom Delay). “Oil industry insiders say the dream of securing a pipeline across Afghanistan is the main reason why Pakistan, a close political ally of America’s, has been so supportive of the Taliban, and why America has quietly acquiesced in its conquest of Afghanistan,” the Daily Telegraph reported on October 11, 1996.

Considering all of this greasy complicity with the Taliban—who went about killing thousands of infidels after they took over the country (with more than a little help from their friends in the ISI and CIA)—either Mr. Ereli suffers from long term memory loss or is blowing smoke out of a certain orifice.

[ Hint: think of the Taliban as the Opium Mafia wiping out the competition. They are an arm of the C.I.A. Remember Air America and Mena, Arkansas? Well, "the base" ("Al Qaeda" means "the base") has been moved to more secure territory... Afghanistan. ]

None other than Robin Cook, the late and former British MP, admitted that al-Qaeda was basically a CIA creation. “Throughout the 80s [Osama bin Laden] was armed by the CIA and funded by the Saudis to wage jihad against the Russian occupation of Afghanistan,” Cook told the Guardian. “Al-Qaida, literally ‘the database’, was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians. Inexplicably, and with disastrous consequences, it never appears to have occurred to Washington that once Russia was out of the way, Bin Laden’s organization would turn its attention to the west.” Cook knew what he was talking about—his Foreign Office portfolio included control of British Intelligence Agency MI-6 and the Government Communications Headquarters, as Uri Dowbendo points out.

Cook believed al-Qaeda was a monster that grew in the dark like some toxic fungus after the Soviets were defeated in Afghanistan. However, this makes little sense, especially considering the CIA considered its operation in Afghanistan (initially dubbed Operation Cyclone) so successful. In fact, so useful was (and remains) al-Qaeda, the U.S. employed them in Bosnia. Professor Cees Wiebes of Amsterdam University, who had “unrestricted access to Dutch intelligence files and has stalked the corridors of secret service headquarters in western capitals, as well as in Bosnia,” according to the Guardian, believes there was a “secret alliance between the Pentagon and radical Islamist groups from the Middle East designed to assist the Bosnian Muslims—some of the same groups that the Pentagon is now fighting in ‘the war against terrorism,’” resulting in “a vast secret conduit of weapons smuggling though Croatia.”

This was arranged by the clandestine agencies of the US, Turkey and Iran, together with a range of radical Islamist groups, including Afghan mojahedin and the pro-Iranian Hizbullah. Wiebes reveals that the British intelligence services obtained documents early on in the Bosnian war proving that Iran was making direct deliveries.

Arms purchased by Iran and Turkey with the financial backing of Saudi Arabia made their way by night from the Middle East. Initially aircraft from Iran Air were used, but as the volume increased they were joined by a mysterious fleet of black C-130 Hercules aircraft. The report stresses that the US was “very closely involved” in the airlift. Mojahedin fighters were also flown in, but they were reserved as shock troops for especially hazardous operations.

Simply substitute the word “mojahedin” with “al-Qaeda” (initially a database of mojahedin) and you have an idea of what went down and what continues to go down.

As John Diamond, writing for USA Today on June 4, 2002, revealed, “U.S. intelligence overheard al-Qaeda operatives discussing a major pending terrorist attack in the weeks prior to Sept. 11 and had agents inside the terror group…. The disclosures add to a growing body of evidence to be examined in congressional hearings that open today into how the CIA, FBI and other agencies failed to seize on intelligence pointing to the deadliest terror attack in U.S. history.” Or maybe there wasn’t an “intelligence failure” but another intelligence success like the one the CIA bragged about in Afghanistan. “The prevailing view on Capitol Hill is that U.S. intelligence had the goods and blew it by failing to recognize and connect warning signs.” In other words, we are expected to believe the CIA, an “expert at distorting intelligence to justify its own goals” (Mark Zepezauer), and responsible for successful covert operations in Iran, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Indonesia, Chile, and elsewhere (and also responsible for not-so-successful operations in Vietnam and Cuba), is a clumsy, inept, and bumbling agency of ineffectual bureaucrats. Porter Goss, we are assured, is on the case.

Indeed, the CIA is so ineffectual at what it does—kill people (upward to six million, according to former CIA Station Chief in Angola, John Stockwell) and overthrow governments, many of them democratically elected—Osama bin Laden made the following erroneous comment: “I settled in Pakistan [in the 1980s], in the Afghan border region. There I received volunteers, trained by Pakistani and American officers. The weapons were supplied by the Americans, the money by the Saudis.” (See Clearing up America’s Mess, the Guardian, December 18, 2001.)

“This lengthy document provides a comprehensive view of al-Qaida’s strategy in Iraq and globally,” the office of the director of national intelligence said about the letter from Ayman al-Zawahri to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. “The document has not been edited in any way and is released in its entirety in both the Arabic and English translated forms. The United States government has the highest confidence in the letter’s authenticity.”

I've heard similar lines from used car salesmen.

Of course, the government had the “highest confidence” in the authenticity of a purported Bin Laden audio tape released in 2003—that is until the Swiss took a crack at it. “The Lausanne-based Dalle Molle Institute for Perceptual Artificial Intelligence said it is 95-per-cent certain the tape does not feature the voice of the long-absent terrorist leader,” the Toronto Star reported. As Jason Kernahan writes, “we definitely have no reason whatsoever to believe that these tapes are authentic. While there have been reports of scientific voice analyses performed on them, these studies have been invariably done by CIA experts. In fact, on only one occasion was an independent analysis done. And while US officials were certain of that tape’s authenticity, Swedish scientists were equally convinced that it was a fake.” Recall Zepezauer’s comment the CIA is an “expert at distorting intelligence to justify its own goals.” It is also important to cite Philip Agee, a former CIA case officer, who noted “what the Agency [CIA] does is ordered by the President and the NSC [National Security Council]. The Agency neither makes decisions on policy nor acts on its own account. It is an instrument of the President.,” or in the case of Bush, the CIA is an instrument of the neocons (Bush has a difficult time staying on a bicycle, let alone staying on the job of running the country—or rather running it into the ground).

Ayman’s letter to Abu, issued for public consumption by an inherently deceptive office of “national intelligence,” promises to “extend the jihad wave to the secular countries neighboring Iraq” and eventually “clash with Israel, because Israel was established only to challenge any new Islamic entity.” Not even Ayman al-Zawahri, reputedly not the sharpest knife in the drawer (before he was killed in northern Iraq), wouldn’t make a statement this stupid and inflammatory, playing right into the hand of the pro-Zionist neocons, who keep telling us scary Muslims want to kill the Jews and take over the world and install a global caliphate and force all of us—all 6 billion humans on the earth—to convert to Islam or have our heads sheared off like Nick Berg (the video supposedly showing Berg’s decapitation turns out to be highly suspect, according to medical experts).

(...it as highly probable that Berg had died some time prior to his decapitation. A factor in this was an apparent lack of the "massive" arterial bleeding such an act initiates. "I would have thought that all the people in the vicinity would have been covered in blood, in a matter of seconds ... if it was genuine," said Simpson. Notably, the act's perpetrators appeared far from so. And separately Nordby observed: "I think that by the time they're ... on his head, he's already dead." Providing another basis for their findings, in the course of such an assault, an individual's autonomic nervous system would react, typically doing so strongly, with the body shaking and jerking accordingly. And while Nordby noted that "they rotated and moved the head", shifting vertebrae that should have initiated such actions, Simpson said he "certainly didn't perceive any movements at all" in response to such efforts.)

(Furthermore, it is likely that the hooded gents were Americans)

All of this is simply more of the same—an unrelenting propaganda campaign designed to convince us through fear and psychological intimidation that the true enemy of “democracy” is not a corrupt government bought lock, stock, and barrel by transnational neolib corporations, not a dictatorial president bent on destroying the Constitution and installing a police state (in reaction to fake flu pandemics), but a wholly ridiculous threat posed by a handful of fanatical and medieval Muslims (who would be nothing without the husbandry of the CIA, British intelligence, and the ISI).

It remains to be seen if the American people even care about this sort of fakery any more... dulled by the near constant stream of al-Qaeda news, all of it rigged and fraudulent—and that’s the sincerely dangerous aspect of this whole affair: for when Americans stop paying attention and no longer jump in fear and begin asking questions, the neocons and their covert warfare syndicate may decide it is time for a new nine eleven, more sensational and murderous than the first.

Russian General Says U.S. Continues Preparations for Iran Strike

Mos News
Monday April 9, 2007

The release of the 15 British sailors and marines captured by Iran has robbed the U.S. of a pretext to attack Iran, but the U.S. has not given up plans to attack Iran militarily, president of the Academy for Geopolitical Problems Colonel General Leonid Ivashov was quoted as saying by the Interfax news agency.

“Preparations to strike Iran’s strategic facilities continue. Three major groups of U.S. forces are still in the Arabian Sea and the Persian Gulf. Altogether, they have up to 450 cruise missiles on alert,” the general said.

“Military operations against Tehran will begin with the launch of at least two unexpected strikes using Tomahawk cruise missiles and air power in order to disable Iran’s air defense capabilities,” he said.

“According to our data, up to 150 aircraft are to be involved in each strike on Iran. Land-based air defense systems will be disabled in the first place, then mobile short-range systems, which Tehran has (including some 30 new systems),” he said.

Primary targets will include command centers, air defense installations, the navy, airfields, ports and docking facilities, the general said.

“Nuclear facilities may be secondary targets. According to expert assessments, at least 20 such facilities need to be destroyed in order to stop Iran’s nuclear program,” Ivashov said.

Ivashov did not rule out that nuclear weapons may be used against Iran.

“Combat nuclear weapons may be used for bombing. This will result in radioactive contamination of the Iranian territory, which could possibly spread to neighboring countries,” he said.

“If Iran strikes back at Israel with missiles, Tel-Aviv is likely to use nuclear weapons on Iran,” Ivashov said, adding that such a “development of the situation would undermine stability not only in the Middle East, but also in the entire world.”

____________________________________________

If that idiot Bush had his way, the Middle East would have blown sky-high by now. He offered to buzz Iran's military bases with fighter aircraft during the captivity of the 15 Brits. This would have been interpreted as a military attack, war would have ensued, the Brits would not have been freed, and nuclear weapons would have been used against Iran by the U.S. and possibly Israel. This is part of the plan that has been in place since before Bush took office. Most of the sick Neocons are still sulking over the release of the Brits.

A War Avoided - Barely

In the first few days after the captives were seized and British diplomats were getting no news from Tehran on their whereabouts, Pentagon officials asked their British counterparts: what do you want us to do? They offered a series of military options, a list which remains top secret given the mounting risk of war between the US and Iran. But one of the options was for US combat aircraft to mount aggressive patrols over Iranian Revolutionary Guard bases in Iran, to underline the seriousness of the situation.

Buzzing military bases in Iran would certainly and rightfully have been interpreted as an act of war. Some Iranian air defense would have hit some U.S. fighter - the U.S. would have responded with an all-out bombing campaign. A simple local conflict over an undefined border would have escalated into a region wide slaughter. The British sailors and marines would certainly not be free by now.

The British declined the offer and said the US could calm the situation by staying out of it. London also asked the US to tone down military exercises that were already under way in the Gulf.

The British government also asked the US administration from Mr Bush down to be cautious in its use of rhetoric, which was relatively restrained throughout.
Guardian

Is the report true? I am not sure, but given the actors it is quite plausible.

So whoever took the decision in the UK to turn down the US offer - thanks.

Whoever ordered that offer to be made in the first place, should be court-martialled for intending to start a war of aggression.

Could the U.S. Congress now please find some spine and restrict such offers and pointless aggressive actions?

An "Unarmed Humvee"

"Senator John McCain driving in an unarmed Humvee through Baghdad."

Click the top image to access the video, and find the Moon of Alabama April 1 post related to the "unarmed Humvee" here. You might also want to read "The Lesson".
Agencies report:

McCain .. responded .. to a question about remarks he had made in the United States last week that it was safe to walk some Baghdad streets .. "The American people are not getting the full picture of what's happening here."
Would somebody give this clown a reality check? Michael Ware would be glad to set this bloated fool straight.

The Next "Pearl Harbor"

As for a possible war with Iran:

It looks like the US is setting the stage for another "Pearl Harbor Event", with an"MO" similar to the first one.

Iran has a very long shore in Persian Gulf. Just imagine how many mines can be laid per day in the gulf and then a few mine sweepers sent by US don't change anything. It takes about 5 hours to remove a single mine.

The Persian Gulf’s depth only allows larger ships such as aircraft carriers to move in a very narrow and small area in the middle of the gulf. Do not see the gulf and think: "Oh such a large area!" No wise nation would ever risk its fleet in such a nasty place against water guerrillas equipped with thousands of speed boats that carry anti-ship missiles. Iran also has missiles that carry cluster warheads specifically designed to target the top of the aircraft carriers.

"U.S. to Suffer Losses Upon Attacking Iran — Russian General

MosNews
Friday, April 6, 2007

According to the head of Moscow’s air defenses, General Yuri Solovyov, Iran’s air defense system is strong and the United States will suffer losses if they attack this Middle Eastern country. Solovyev conceded that the U.S. military greatly outweighs the Iranian one and that eventually that would ensure America’s air supremacy.

“Iran’s weapons, among others, include our anti-aircraft systems which allow them to fight all types of flying objects currently in service in the U.S. army ... Besides, we all remember our specialists have trained them since Soviet times,” Solovyov was quoted as saying by Reuters news agency.

Russia completed delivery of TOR-M1 anti-aircraft missile systems to Iran in January. Moscow said the missile systems were short-range and purely defensive.

Russian media have quoted unnamed sources in Russian military intelligence as saying the United States could launch a strike on Iran as early as April 6.

Washington and Tehran are at loggerheads over Iran’s nuclear program which the West fears is aimed at building an atomic bomb. Iran says it wants only to produce electricity.

The U.S. has also accused Iran of supporting militants in neighboring Iraq. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! The CIA took over funding and control of Saddam's MEK in Iran after attacking Iraq. Iranian opposition groups, including the well known right-wing terrorist organization known as Mujahedeen-e Khalq (MEK), once run by Saddam Hussein's dreaded intelligence services, but now working exclusively for the CIA's Directorate of Operations, are carrying out remote bombings in Iran of the sort that the Bush administration condemns on a daily basis inside Iraq.

At any rate, there's plenty of money to made exploiting Iran's resources. Iran has oil, gas and uranium, while European countries have to import their own uranium. Iran can sell enriched uranium 30% cheaper than the whole world. This is serious control over future energy. The move to criminalize Iran's efforts to develop nuclear enrichment capability is being orchestrated for the same exact reasons that industrial hemp was outlawed in the 1930's, and it's being done by the same bunch of plutocrats to protect their ironclad control of energy resources. The outlawing of industrial hemp had nothing to do with use of marijuana and everything to do with its threat to break the stranglehold of the oil, coal, and timber barons on our economy. All this talk about "mushroom clouds" is just a smoke screen to prevent Iran from offering competitive energy resources. Big Oil wants to create an artificial floor under oil prices, (for insight on this, see the movie "Blood Diamond") and impose astronomical taxes to "control global warming." The tax will make it impossible for anyone to compete with the oligarchy's control of resources. It will be mercantilism on a global scale. "Global warming" is a scam, a replacement for the "cold war", and Ahmadinejad is being demonized in the same way marijuana was demonized. HE NEVER SAID the things he is accused of saying about "wiping Israel off the map". IT WAS A DELIBERATE MISINTERPRETATION. More recently, Ahmadinejad's charitable reference to the Jewish Passover in his speech announcing the release of the 15 British Marines was deliberately misinterpreted by numerous "news" outlets, omitting any reference to Passover. I wonder how many of them are owned by Rupert Murdoch, the old reprobate who owns the rights to the NIV.

America ‘Pearl Harbored’

Fanatical Warhawks Drafted Blueprint for Bloody U.S. World Domination Years Ago

The cabal of war fanatics advising the White House secretly planned a “transformation” of defense policy years ago, calling for war against Iraq and huge increases in military spending. A “catalyzing event — like a new Pearl Harbor”—was seen as necessary to bring this about.

Exclusive to American Free Press
By Christopher Bollyn

The huge increases in U.S. military spending that have occurred since the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, were planned before President George W. Bush was elected by the same men who are pushing the administration’s “war on terrorism” and the invasion and occupation of Iraq.

Billions of dollars in additional defense spending are but the first step in the group’s long-term plan to transform the U.S. military into a global army enforcing a terroristic and bloody Pax Americana around the world.

A neo-conservative Washington-based organization known as the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), funded by three foundations closely tied to Persian Gulf oil, and weapons and defense industries, drafted the war plan for U.S. global domination through military power.

One of the organization’s documents clearly shows that Bush and his most senior cabinet members had already planned an attack on Iraq before he took power in January 2001.

The PNAC was founded in the spring of 1997 by the well-known Zionist neo-conservatives Robert Kagan and William Kristol of The Weekly Standard.

The PNAC is part of the New Citizenship Project, whose chairman is also William Kristol, and is described as “a non-profit, educational organization whose goal is to promote American global leadership.”

Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Jeb Bush, and Paul Wolfowitz signed a Statement of Principles of the PNAC on June 3, 1997, along with many of the other current members of Bush’s “war cabinet.”

Wolfowitz was one of the directors of PNAC until he joined the Bush administration.

The group’s essential demand was for hefty increases in defense spending. “We need to increase defense spending significantly if we are to carry out our global responsibilities today and modernize our armed forces for the future,” the statement’s first principle reads.

The increase in defense spending is to bring about two of the other principles: “to challenge regimes hostile to our interests and values” and “to accept responsibility for America’s unique role in preserving and extending an international order friendly to our security, our prosperity, and our principles.”

A subsequent PNAC plan entitled “Rebuilding America’s Defenses: Strategies, Forces and Resources for a New Century,” reveals that the current members of Bush’s cabinet had already planned, before the 2000 presidential election, to take military control of the Gulf region whether Saddam Hussein is in power or not.

The 90-page PNAC document from September 2000 says: “The United States has for decades sought to play a more permanent role in Gulf regional security. While the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification, the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein.”

“Even should Saddam pass from the scene,” the plan says U.S. military bases in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait will remain, despite domestic opposition in the Gulf states to the permanent stationing of U.S. troops. Iran, it says, “may well prove as large a threat to U.S. interests as Iraq has.”

A “core mission” for the transformed U.S. military is to “fight and decisively win multiple, simultaneous major theater wars,” according to the PNAC.

The strategic “transformation” of the U.S. military into an imperialistic force of global domination would require a huge increase in defense spending to “a minimum level of 3.5 to 3.8 percent of gross domestic product, adding $15 billion to $20 billion to total defense spending annually,” the PNAC plan said.

“The process of transformation,” the plan said, “is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event—like a new Pearl Harbor.”

American Free Press asked Christopher Maletz, assistant director of the PNAC about what was meant by the need for “a new Pearl Harbor.”

“They needed more money to up the defense budget for raises, new arms, and future capabilities,” Maletz said. “Without some disaster or catastrophic event” neither the politicians nor the military would have approved, Maletz said.

The “new Pearl Harbor,” in the form of the terror attacks of Sept. 11, provided the necessary catalyst to put the global war plan into effect. Congress quickly allocated $40 billion to fund the “war on terrorism” shortly after 9-11.

A Pentagon spokesman told AFP that $17.5 billion of that initial allocation went to defense.

The U.S. defense budget for 2002, including a $14.5 billion supplement, came to $345.7 billion, a nearly 12 percent increase over the 2001 defense budget.

Similar significant increases in defense spending are planned for 2003 (to $365 billion) and 2004 (to at least $378 billion) in line with the PNAC plan.

Veteran journalist John Pilger recently wrote about one of PNAC’s founding members, Richard Perle: “I interviewed Perle when he was advising Reagan, and when he spoke about ‘total war,’ I mistakenly dismissed him as mad,” Pilger wrote. “He recently used the term again in describing America’s ‘war on terror.’ ‘No stages,’ he said. ‘This is total war. We are fighting a variety of enemies. There are lots of them out there. All this talk about first we are going to do Afghanistan, then we will do Iraq . . . this is entirely the wrong way to go about it. If we just let our vision of the world go forth, and we embrace it entirely and we don’t try to piece together clever diplomacy, but just wage a total war . . . our children will sing great songs about us years from now.’ ”

“This is a blueprint for U.S. world domination—a new world order of their making,” Tam Dalyell, British parliamentarian and critic of the war policy from the Labor Party said. “These are the thought processes of fantasist Americans who want to control the world.

“This is garbage from think-tanks stuffed with chicken-hawks,” Dalyell said, “men who have never seen the horror of war but are in love with the idea of war.

Globalists Love Global Warming
Trilateral Commission, chairman of British Petroleum, CFR, Club of Rome fan hysteria to achieve world government

Prison Planet | March 28, 2007
Paul Joseph Watson

"A common charge leveled against those who question the official orthodoxy of the global warming religion is that they are acting as stooges for the western establishment and big business interests. If this is the case, then why do the high priests of the elite and kingpin oil men continue to fan the flames of global warming hysteria?

The Trilateral Commission, one of the three pillars of the New World Order in alliance with Bilderberg and the CFR, met last week in near secrecy to formulate policy on how best they could exploit global warming fearmongering to ratchet up taxes and control over how westerners live their lives.

At the confab, European Chairman of the Trilateral Commission, Bilderberger and chairman of British Petroleum Peter Sutherland (pictured top), gave a speech to his elitist cohorts in which he issued a "Universal battle cry arose for the world to address “global warming” with a single voice."

Echoing this sentiment was General Lord Guthrie, director of N.M. Rothschild & Sons, member of the House of Lords and former chief of the Defense Staff in London, who urged the Trilateral power-brokers to "Address the global climate crisis with a single voice, and impose rules that apply worldwide."

Allegations that skeptics of the man-made explanation behind global warming are somehow doing the bidding of the elite are laughable in the face of the fact that Rothschild operatives and the very chairman of British Petroleum are the ones orchestrating an elitist plan to push global warming fears in order to achieve political objectives.

We have a similar situation to the Peak Oil scam , which was created by the oil industry as a profit boon to promote artificial scarcity, and yet is parroted by environmentalists who grandstand as if they are in opposition to the oil companies.

In his excellent article, "Global warming hysteria serves as excuse for world government", Daniel Taylor outlines how the exploitation of the natural phenomenon of "global warming" was a pet project of the Club of Rome and the CFR.

"In a report titled "The First Global Revolution" (1991) published by the Club of Rome, a globalist think tank, we find the following statement: "In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill.... All these dangers are caused by human intervention... The real enemy, then, is humanity itself."
"Richard Haass, the current president of the Council on Foreign Relations, stated in his article "State sovereignty must be altered in globalized era," that a system of world government must be created and sovereignty eliminated in order to fight global warming, as well as terrorism. "Moreover, states must be prepared to cede some sovereignty to world bodies if the international system is to function," says Haass. "Globalization thus implies that sovereignty is not only becoming weaker in reality, but that it needs to become weaker. States would be wise to weaken sovereignty in order to protect themselves..."

Taylor also points out future British Prime Minister Gordon Brown's admonishment that only a "new world order" (world government) can help fight global warming.

Other attendees at the recent Trilateral meeting raised the specter of climate change as a tool to force through tax hikes.

Calling on the United States government to adopt a "carbon monoxide control policy," former CIA boss and long term champion of creating a domestic intelligence agency to spy on Americans John Deutch, argued that America should impose a $1-pergallon increase in the gasoline tax under the pretext of fighting pollution.

The lapdog media have proven adept in the past at taking their orders from the elitists in pushing higher taxes in the name of saving the environment.

"When the TC called on the United States to increase gas taxes by 10 cents at a meeting in Tokyo in 1991, The Washington Post, which is always represented at TC and Bilderberg meetings, called for such an increase in an editorial the following day," reports Jim Tucker .

Tucker writes that an essential means of achieving global government by consent over conquest, as has long been the ultimate goal of the elite, is by "fanning public hysteria" over climate change, encouraging further integration by forcing countries to adhere to international law on global warming. Such restrictions have prevented the development of third world nations and directly contributed to poverty, disease and squalor by essentially keeping them at a stone age level of progress, as is documented in The Great Global Warming Swindle documentary.

People who still trust the platitudes of politicians and elitists who implore us to change our way of life, cough up more tax money, and get on board with the global warming religion save being linked with Holocaust denial , are as deluded and enslaved as the tribes of Mesoamerica who, unaware of the natural phenomenon of a solar eclipse, thought their high priests could make the sky snake eat the Sun, and therefore obeyed their every demand.

Globalists love global warming! Oil industry kingpins, Bilderbergers and Rothschild minions have all put their weight behind it. This is a fraud conceived, nurtured and promulgated by elite, and to castigate individuals for merely questioning the motives behind climate change fearmongering by accusing them of being mouthpieces for the establishment is a complete reversal of the truth."

The Scottish Declaration of Arbroath - April 6th, 1320

Our own American Declaration of Independence of 1776 was based loosely on the Scottish Declaration of Arbroath. Here is one key passage:

‘Yet if he (Bruce) should give up what he has begun, and agree to make us or our kingdom subject to the King of England or the English, we should exert ourselves at once to drive him out as our enemy and a subverter of his own rights and ours, and make some other man who was well able to defend us our King; for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.’

This manifesto affirmed the nation's independence in a way no battle could, and justified it with a truth that is beyond nation and race. Man has a right to freedom and a duty to defend it with his life. The natural qualifications put upon this by a medieval baron are irrelevant, as are the reservations which slave-owning Americans placed upon their declaration of independence. The truth once spoken cannot be checked, the seed once planted controls its own growth, and the liberty which men secure for themselves must be given by them to others, or it will be taken as they took it. Freedom is a hardy plant and must flower in equality and brotherhood.

Invisible Nails

My brother-in-law Jack sent me this today, and I'm passing it along. (slightly edited)

"Upon the cross of Jesus, my eyes can truly see, the very dying form of One who suffered there for me. And from a smitten heart with tears, two wonders I confess; the wonder of unfailing love, and my unworthiness.

Jesus worked all His life. He did great acts of work while on this earth. He was a carpenter with calloused hands, He healed the sick, raised the dead, taught us about the Father. But what was His greatest work? His greatest work was accomplished in just 3 hours on a Cross when He died for our sins. On Calvary Jesus entered a labor that no other person in all the universe has ever known. Jesus could have come down from the Cross. The nails driven in by the soldiers couldn't have held Him, but that day there were 3 invisible nails that caused Him to stay on the Cross.

The first invisible nail that kept Jesus there was the nail of love. The world has never seen such a manifestation of selfless love as was demonstrated upon Calvary. Jesus declared, "To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice."

The second invisible nail that kept Jesus on the Cross was the nail of loyalty. Jesus was loyal to God's purpose for His life. In a supreme demonstration of loyalty to God's will, Jesus died at Golgotha. Are we living a life that is loyal to Christ?

The third invisible nail that kept Jesus on the Cross was the nail of sin. The prophet Isaiah said "He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows, yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes we are healed."

Calvary is the place of decision. Today the Cross still casts its shadow across the world, and the cry "Crucify Him" still lurks in those who would crucify Him rather than own Him as King and see Him as Saviour.

Christ's gospel is still effective. His truth remains unchanged. He can solve our problems, lift our burdens, and quiet our hearts in the midst of the storms of life. We can know "the peace that passes all understanding" by asking God's forgiveness and receiving the presence of His Spirit into our hearts. By faith in His atoning work on the Cross of Calvary, we are washed clean from every sin and will someday stand pure before Almighty God.

This Friday, remember what Christ did for you. If you have placed your faith and trust in Him, you have received forgiveness and are living an eternal life because of His love. "...ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross." (Colossians 2:12-14). The Second Death, which awaits unbelieving, unrepentant sinners at the White Throne Judgment, has no power over you.
He has saved you. You are a child of the living God and an heir to His kingdom.

Have a blessed Easter. God is worthy! He is worthy indeed!"

Rosie O'Donnell - Hero or Coward? You Decide

I know the answers to the questions Rosie asks, and we have a right to honest answers.
Click here to watch the video

Rosie has spoken out against the lies, misinformation, and corruption in our Government.

Network News has labeled her a traitor and un-American for doing so.

Watch this video and decide who the REAL coward is, Rosie, or the National media twisting what she said.

I saw her show when she questioned 9/11 and the current government. I have watched network talk show hosts twist and lie about what she really said. I am a fan of FREE SPEECH and the U.S. Constitution. That's why I posted the (above) link for this video. It's no surprise that the dissemination of information is opposed by paid government operative thugs and pedophile apologists like Bill O'Reilly. (Can you say "Dyncorp"?) "Halliburton subsidiary KBR and Dyncorp lobbyists are working in tandem with the Pentagon to stall legislation that would specifically ban trafficking in humans for forced labor and prostitution by U.S. contractors."
Watch Bill O'Reilly making baseless faggot lace underwear emotional arguments here. He never deals in FACTS. He won't allow factual discussion of any viewpoint contrary to his government sponsored agenda. I despise him and his ilk. You can bet that Bill won't cover this story. Here's an exerpt:
"The international pedophile investigation began when Dallas police and the US Postal Inspection Service raided the offices of Landslide Productions of Fort Worth, Texas and confiscated records on thousands of people around the world who were child pornography customers of the firm. Landslide's halcyon days as a Fort Worth-based international online marketplace of kiddie porn was during the term of Texas Governor George W. Bush.

WMR has learned that the Bush administration, like that of Blair, is rife with pedophiles in top positions. The pedophile network also extends to the U.S. defense industry, particularly some of the companies that have been involved in the sexual abuse of minors at overt and covert U.S. prisons in Abu Ghraib, Iraq; Guantanamo, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Thailand, and now, at three prisons in Ethiopia."
The "old boys network" protects their own. What a bunch of dirt bags.

On a different note, here's a view from the "other side". Click to download the abbreviated text file, or:

"Turn off the life support: America is dead

By DOUG THOMPSON

03/09/07 "Capital Hill Blue" -- -- Maybe, just maybe, it's time to pull the plug on this failed democratic republic called The United States of America.

Turn off the life support. Disconnect the IVs. Bring in the priest for last rites. The US of A is brain dead with no chance for revival."

TEHRAN, Iran - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in a surprise move that defused escalating tension in the Middle East, announced the release of 15 captive British sailors and marines Wednesday in what he called an Easter gift to the British people.
"On the occasion of the birthday of the great prophet (Muhammad) ... and for the occasion of the passing of Christ, I say the Islamic Republic government and the Iranian people — with all powers and legal right to put the soldiers on trial — forgave those 15," he said, referring to the Muslim prophet's birthday on March 30 and the Easter holiday.

"This pardon is a gift to the British people," he said.

We'll see whether Bu$hCo decides to go ahead and bomb Iran anyway. I almost wonder if President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been reading the Bible. He behaves more like a Christian than Bush.

'Blair (and Bush) to blame for 700,000 rotting corpses'

This is from the Daily Mail:
"As Britain's outspoken Ambassador to the Central Asian Republic of Uzbekistan, Craig Murray helped expose vicious human rights abuses by the US-funded regime of Islam Karimov. He is now a prominent critic of Western policy in the region. Here are two excerpts from his blog.

March 26, 2007, Lying About The Dead

An extraordinary story appeared once this morning on BBC News 24, and then was buried.

The BBC World Service has obtained a document. It is an official appraisal by British government scientists across government departments, commissioned by 10 Downing Street, of the study published by the Lancet that estimated 655,000 dead in Iraq.

The appraisal says that the methodology is correct and that the study "follows best practice".

Astonishingly, the official DFID verdict was that 655,000 dead is "If anything, an underestimate".

Yet the Government poured scorn on the Lancet study, despite having commissioned a report from their own scientists that said it was good.

Who can doubt that if the government scientists had rubbished the study, the number ten spin machine would have publicised that like crazy?

Doubtless the Official Secrets Act will be wheeled out to try and sit on the government scientists' report, which the BBC already seems to have reburied, showing its typical craven attitude towards the Blair government.

Personally, I did not know how much credence to give the study published in the Lancet, not being technically equipped to evaluate it.

We can now be confident that the death toll in Iraq was over 600,000 a year ago, and probably over 700,000 now.

There is much talk of Blair's legacy. In fact he has two major legacies. 700,000 rotting corpses, and the culture of lies that sought to suppress the truth about it."
